Update 2

Hello again,
I do promise not to send out updates every hour on the hour but four hours on from update 1 - I have now heard back from the Consultant who wants to see me asap (before the weekend or Monday at the latest) to talk through the next moves but in the meantime he's put me on a regime of drugs starting this afternoon.
He’s prescribed steroids to somehow reduce pressure on the brain and hopefully ameliorate these hearing problems. I’m guessing the next move will be a biopsy to find out exactly what we’re dealing with, but in the meantime, thank you for your support, and please don’t feel any need to respond to every one of my ramblings .
